Today’s post is brought to you by Alice from Alice in Average-Land and my post for today is at her blog!

Hello Pamela’s readers!

I’m Alice. I don’t sew, or make pretty things and am insanely jealous of crafty people. I can cook but ask me about baking, I’m terrible. Actually one of my most recent posts is about a cake disaster. Though when it comes to making a delicious Jamaican jerk pork or a tasty peanut chicken satay – I’m your woman.

Actually it’s quite ironic that Pamela and I should be paired. I’m not domesticated. My ex-boyfriend used to do the laundry because I would just throw it all in a big jumbled mess into the wash. Don’t worry, I have reformed my laundry habits, sometimes I even separate out the dry-clean only items

Just kidding

I toss those in with everything else.

My blog is about dating, not dating, being in school and out of school, being a 20-something girl and living life. I started the blog two years ago and was shocked SHOCKED! when someone commented on my very first post. It took a little while to get into it but once you start blogging I think you become a little addicted.

Addicted to the comments, yes, but also to the writing, expressing yourself, having your own little space on the interwebs, and the people. The people are amazing. I’ve gone through some rough things over the two years I’ve been blogging – my parent’s got divorced, I broke up with an amazing guy, and dated a few more (not amazing) guys, I dealt with losing a job, and losing half of my investments but in the end there were always people reading and supporting.

The best thing about blogging is the amazing community. I’m planning on going to Las Vegas next month to meet over 50 other bloggers and I’m so excited I can hardly stand it.

The thought of 50 people crazy enough to do something like fly across the country to meet 50 people they’ve never met before really appeals to me.

So yes, the best thing about blogging is having an entire network of support, from all over the world!
